WiLake is an application for the management of open wifi network deployments. Among other features, it handles the creation of captive portals to identify users before they can browse the internet, and the collection of data about them for statistical purposes.

WiLake is offered as a cloud-hosted application, billing for the number of sites (locations) to be managed, and the number of access points in these.

How does it work?

WiLake integrates with Ubiquiti’s network controller, “UniFi Controller”, to manage open wifi networks. The controller is in charge of the system administration, and WiLake is in charge of managing the captive portals and collecting data.

Through the controller’s API, we configure the access points to redirect users to a captive portal hosted in the cloud, where they are asked to identify themselves before being allowed to browse the network. Once identified, they are allowed to browse the internet.

As a client, you can then access a control panel where you can manage your open networks, apply customizations to the captive portals, and consult the data collected about the users. We also offer statistical analysis on this data so you can better understand your customers.

How can I get started?

To start using WiLake, you must create a user account on our website. Once created, you can access your control panel, where you can create open networks and customize your captive portals.

We encourage you to follow our quick start guide to learn how to create your first open network. For this, you will need to have a wifi network with UniFi access points already operational.
