Importing a site
Pages in this article
Once a controller has been created, you can import a site to WiLake. After this process, you’ll be able to configure the captive portal and other features.
Importing a site
To import a site, you need to go to the Sites page and click the blue button on the right to go to the import wizard. You’ll be asked to select the controller you want to import the site from. After that, you’ll be asked to select the site you want to import, and to give it a name (by default, the site will have the same name it has in the controller).
Once the site has been imported, you’ll be redirected to the site list, where you’ll see the site you just imported. The site will be created but not configured. For example, it won’t have a captive portal configured, as well as it won’t have the terms and conditions, the privacy policy, etc.
Configuring the site
Several things can be configured in a site. For example, the captive portal to be used, the terms and conditions, the privacy policy, etc.
To configure a site, you need to go to the Sites page and click on the site you want to configure.
Captive portal
The captive portal is the page that will be shown to the users when they try to access the Internet. By default, the captive portal is disabled, so the users will be able to access the Internet without any restriction.
To enable the captive portal, you need to go to the Captive portals page and create a new captive portal configuration. Once the captive portal has been created, you need to go to the * Sites* page and click on the site you want to configure. Then, you need to click on the Captive portal dropdown and select the captive portal you just created.
A more detailed guide on how to configure the captive portal can be found in the Configuring the captive portal section.
