Legal Documents

Sections in this article

WiLake allows the management of legal documents for end users, which they must accept before being able to access the network. These documents can be configured in the Management > Legal Documents section.

Two types of documents can be configured: terms and conditions, and privacy policy. These documents are then assigned to one or several portal configurations, and are displayed in the captive portal before users connect to the network, regardless of the authentication mechanism used, or if none is used.

Versioning

Legal documents can be versioned. This allows users to accept a version of the legal documents, and to be shown an updated version when a new version is published.

For each version, the content of the document can be added using Markdown. The content can be edited in any Markdown editor, such as StackEdit or Dillinger, and then copied and pasted into the WiLake portal.

The content of the legal documents can be translated into multiple languages. Users will see the legal documents in the same language as the captive portal, usually the same as the language of their browser.
